Sector Skills Progression maps

These maps ilustrate examples of skills progression within employment sectors.  They are for use by schools, colleges and IAG professionals to help young people understand the opportunities and job roles which exist at various levels within employment, and the skills and attributes relating to them. They are not progression maps purely in terms of qualfication levels, but can be related to them.

Statement of Skills and Employment Priorities for Plymouth

Following extensive data collection and analysis, and consultation with key strategic partners, Plymouth Employment and Skills Board has issued a statement of Skills and Employment Priorities for the Plymouth Area.  This has been developed in conjunction with the Skills and Learning Intelligence Module of the South West Observatory.

We believe that this statement covers the key skills related issues which must be addressed to enable Plymouth to secure its future economic prosperity

Consultation on Employment & Skills Issues - Summer 2010

Plymouth Employment & Skills Board is currently interpreting data and information on employment and skills in the Plymouth area in order to develop a statement of skills priorities for the coming years.

A discussion paper on some of the emerging issues has been produced, and comments are invited from interested individuals and organisations, which the Board will take into consideration.  

Comments should be submitted before 10th September 2010.

Employment & Skills Data Report 2010 (final version)

This is a detailed analysis of employment and skills related data for the Plymouth area, commissioned from the Skills and Learning Intelligence Module (SLIM) of the South West Observatory.  It will be used to inform the development of skills and employment priorities for Plymouth, and is also available to skills providers and others who may wish to use the data to support their own strategic planning of service and support delivery.

This is a final version of the report which replaces the draft version posted previously.

 

Plymouth Priority Sectors Skills Survey 2010 - Summary

A summary report of the Employer Skills Survey conducted on behalf of Plymouth Employment and Skills Board by the Socio-Economic Research and Intelligence Observatory of the University of Plymouth.  The intelligence form the report will be used to inform the development of the Plymouth area statement of skills priorities.  This is a draft copy and will be replaced with a final version shortly.

Please note that this is the final version, despite the appearance of 'draft' on the first page.
